Russia has data on how the collective West put pressure on literally every country to refuse to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023). This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to her, the arsenal of NATO-centric states, in particular the United States, included letters and negotiations. All this was accompanied by threats.

“Literally, appropriate conversations were held with every country to instill the idea that it is impossible to go to the forum, that they will face consequences, that the next, so to speak, package of sanctions is just around the corner, and that everyone should think carefully before participating in events on the territory of Russia “– quotes Zakharova TASS.

The diplomat clarified that the West does this before almost every Russian deal with the participation of the state. This applies even to issues of large business with state support. Curators from the United States, the European Union or Britain arrive in partner countries either before the visit of the Russian delegation, or immediately after.

Recall that earlier Maria Zakharova named the main differences between SPIEF and Western forums. She emphasized that, unlike Western events of this kind, our platform does not divide and segregate, but unites people.
