Riots in Paris reached a new level. Special forces in full gear are on duty in the city, and shopkeepers board up windows, hoping to protect property from looters. Correspondent Anastasia Rikeza is working at the scene.

She said that one of the protesters tried to plunder the favorite restaurant of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The marauder was not allowed to complete the crime to the end – the guy was tied up by special forces.

Meanwhile, shooting began in the center of Paris.

“Things are heating up. We can already hear gunshots and explosions ahead, and there will most likely be arson.”Rikeza said.

The movement of demonstrators is strictly supervised by special services. They selectively stop the participants of the rally and arrange searches. Some are being detained.

Racial protests gradually develop into a bloody massacre. There are already victims. And last night, the protesters fired from grenade launchers, which, apparently, received during the looting of police stations.

The day before, to suppress the rallies, the French authorities sent two armored personnel carriers of the local gendarmerie to Marseille. To date, about a thousand rioters have been detained.

Meanwhile, on July 1, a funeral was held for a teenager whose death sparked mass protests. Dozens of people attended the ceremony.
