Weapons and aircraft spares: EU to announce new sanctions against Belarus next week, media

According to the journalist, the European authorities still have not lifted sanctions on Belarusian potash fertilizers.

Journalist Rikard Jozwiak said when new EU sanctions against Belarus can be expected. He said it will be next week. About this media specialist working at the agency “Radio Liberty Europe”, Wrote from Twitter.

Jozwiak did not name the sources he relied on in his explanation of the EU’s actions. At the same time, Belarus stressed that the ban on trade in potash fertilizers will continue.

Journalist in next post clarifiedexactly what new sanctions will be imposed – on weapons components and aviation components.

As for potash fertilizers, he noted that it was the triumph of Ukraine’s four partner countries – Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia – that they forced Europeans not to make exceptions for this sector of the Belarusian economy.

At the same time, the German publication DW received information from its anonymous sources in Brussels. According to sources, the date that the sanctions will begin to be implemented is August 9th. The date was chosen deliberately – then the president was elected in 2020 in Belarus. After the elections, protests began, which the current president of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko, brutally suppressed – people were imprisoned and tortured.

DW sources also assured that they would soon adopt another package of sanctions – this time the sanctions would be related to the support provided by the Belarusian authorities to the Kremlin head. This will be the seventh package – the previous six have already been accepted by the EU, and the debate on what to impose on the new ones has been going on for a long time.

We remind you that training camps for mobilized Russians are located on the territory of Belarus – Wagner trainers were noticed in such a camp near Vitebsk.

Meanwhile, PMC “Wagner” mercenaries officially lowered the flag on the base in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation and set off for new places. They made a special video about it, in which they did not specify the direction of the movement.

However, satellite photos taken on the territory of Belarus show that some “Wagnerites” moved to Osipovichi in southern Belarus.

It seems that the other part of the mercenaries decided to join the RF Armed Forces. This is evidenced by the video of the Russian Ministry of Defense: they showed how several thousand guns and hundreds of boxes of shells were transferred from the PMCs to the warehouses of the Russian army.
