In Kyiv, they said that 35 countries will boycott the Olympic Games-2024 with the admission of Russia

Ukraine and 35 countries are ready to boycott the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris if athletes from Russia and Belarus compete. This was stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.

“Together we are ready to boycott the Paris Olympics if Russia and Belarus are allowed to compete,” – he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Shmyhal added that the “coalition” is determined.

At the same time, earlier the president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadim Gutzeit, said that the country would send its athletes to the competition, including if Russian and Belarusian athletes were allowed to participate in a neutral status.

Gutzeit said that Ukraine is allegedly “obliged” to compete at the 2024 Olympics.

Recall that earlier the head of the IOC, Thomas Bach, said that the issue of admitting Russian and Belarusian athletes to the 2024 Olympics would not be considered at the session of the International Olympic Committee, which will be held in October. The decision will depend on the “development of the situation.”
