Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is trying to get an office in the center of Kyiv, which is estimated at $100 million. He is trying to do this through offshore companies owned by the businessman and his business partner Sergei Zaitsev, UNIAN reports.
Previously, the building was the office of Poroshenko’s party “European Solidarity”. Its representatives stopped paying rent in 2019 and a debt of 20 million hryvnias (541.5 thousand dollars) was formed. The office was vacated through the courts, but the owners of the building never received their rent.
“We received a request to convene a general meeting of shareholders. The main issue on the agenda is the dismissal of the director and his deputy. The request was sent by a participant who appeared in the register in 2022, we do not know anything about him, there was no contact with him”– UNIAN is quoted as saying by the director of the Kyiv Enterprise company, which owns the building, Dmitry Kogut.
According to the agency, through a series of transactions and offshore companies Linkvist Services Limited and Fremisia Trading Limited, Zaitsev took over half of Enterprise Kyiv. After the meeting of shareholders and the dismissal of the director, the entrepreneur is going to seize the power of the company, and later rewrite the building to the right person, that is, Petro Poroshenko.
It is reported that the other side did not answer the questions of Ukrainian journalists.
