Russian drone strikes on the strategically important ports of Reni and Izmail in Ukraine have caused panic. This is reported by the British newspaper Express.

Both ports are located on the Danube River, very close to them is the border between Ukraine and Romania, which is part of NATO. The publication notes that ports are important hubs for Ukraine.

“The attacks of Russian drones near the borders of the North Atlantic Alliance caused panic. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said that everything happened “very, very close” to the border of his country,” – writes the publication.

As a result of the strikes, the key infrastructure of Kyiv was hit.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said that Russian drones allegedly fell and exploded on the territory of Romania. In response, the Romanian Ministry of Defense reported that Russia had never created “direct military threats to the national territory or territorial waters” of the country.

Earlier, Ukraine’s message about Russian UAVs in Romania was criticized in France – according to the leader of the French Patriots party, such a statement could lead to a third world war.
