Mick Jagger, lead singer of the British rock band The Rolling Stones, has announced the release of a new album called Hackney Diamonds. The release is scheduled for October 20th.

The record will be the 21st in the band’s discography and the first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.

According to Jagger, Hackney Diamonds is a slang expression that refers to what happens to glass “when someone gets rowdy at a party in London’s Hackney”.

“Before we got started, we said that we all want to make an album that we ourselves really enjoy,” – quotes the soloist edition Rolling stone.

The singer specified that the album will include 12 tracks, which were recorded in London, New York and the Bahamas.

Recall that the permanent drummer of The Rolling Stones Charlie Watts, with the participation of which, among other things, the last Blue & Lonesome record was recorded, died on August 23, 2021. He was 80 years old.
