The US Congress approved a project to extend the country’s funding for 45 days, which does not include assistance to Ukraine.

The Senate, following the House of Representatives, supported this temporary budget, TASS reports.

The initiative will now go to US President Joe Biden, who is expected to sign it in the coming hours. In this case, the work of the federal government will not be suspended.

Earlier, the US presidential administration, after approving a temporary government financing plan, called on Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy to consider a separate bill on providing financial assistance to Ukraine.

McCarthy himself has not yet expressed a desire to submit to the House of Representatives a separate bill on allocating money to Kyiv.
