The ban on mass events in the Russian capital was introduced in 2020 due to the epidemic, and this was the reason for the refusal to organize protests. The occupiers’ wives are angry because they continue other activities.
Moscow authorities rejected the request of the spouses of Russians who took action to hold a rally in the capital. They wanted to demand the return of their spouses who were currently in Ukraine. This was reported by the private Telegram channel “The Way Home”, which organized the event.
The official response stated that the reason for not approving the rally was the “developing epidemiological situation in the city” and that the ban on mass events imposed in 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak was still in force in Moscow.
“Moscow refused to agree on a demand meeting. From where? Attention, drum roll. Covid restrictions. So why hold public events? Why are other rallies allowed but not military families? Where is justice for us? To whom is this a complete lie? “The public already knows what’s going on,” the message says.
Separately, in the official response signed by Deputy Head of the Regional Security and Anti-Corruption Department Kirill Malyshkin, Russians were reminded of their responsibilities if the event is held.
Previously, a meeting of wives of mobilized Russians was supposed to be held on November 25, but it is not known what they will do now.
Let us remind you that the spouses of those mobilized on November 8 already held a rally in the center of Moscow, but it lasted only 5 minutes. After opening the posters, the police approached them. As a result, they left because they had supposedly “reached their maximum”. At the same time, many have expressed support for the war, but believe it is time to replace the occupiers with others.
