In the capital of Ireland, Dublin, mass protests against migrants and pogroms broke out after a man attacked a school group. About it reports RTE TV channel.

According to local media, on the afternoon of November 23, in the city center, a 50-year-old man with a knife attacked a school group, injuring three small children and a teacher. A five-year-old girl is in intensive care, a six-year-old girl and a 30-year-old teacher are also hospitalized.

Law enforcement officials do not disclose the identity of the criminal, but a rumor began to spread among the Irish that he was a native of Algeria. By evening, Dublin residents, because of this unverified information, began to hold rallies demanding that all migrants be expelled from the country.

Later, protesters attacked a group of police officers, pelted them with pyrotechnics and set fire to a service vehicle. According to the broadcaster, at least one law enforcement officer was wounded.

The police pulled additional forces into the city center and closed it to civilians.

Earlier in the United States, six police officers were injured during a rally at which Americans demanded an end to hostilities in the Middle East.
