The Pentagon believes that Kyiv has the necessary weapons for success on the battlefield

Ukraine currently has the weapons necessary for successful combat operations. This was stated by Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh at a regular briefing.

“I would let the Ukrainians talk about their operations. Again, we are confident that they have what they need to be successful on the battlefield.”Singh said.

According to her, the Ukrainians believe that they did not fail in the counteroffensive, since they managed to achieve local successes. Singh noted that the Pentagon has provided the Ukrainian Armed Forces with equipment, training and support.

Earlier, military observer for the German publication Bild Julian Repke called the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces one of the largest US miscalculations in recent decades.

The Washington Post stated that the ATACMS launchers transferred to Ukraine from the United States were unable to turn the tide of the counteroffensive. The authors of the material indicated that Kyiv is no longer asking the West for tanks and combat vehicles.
