The structure probably could not support large numbers of people. The police will announce the cause of the incident after the necessary investigation.
While rapper Tsunami was performing in Belgrade, popular local pontoon nightclub Kartel collapsed. This was reported by Blic.

At a certain point, security began escorting visitors out. Some were jostling on the part of the bridge connecting the pontoon to the shore. Eventually the structure cracked and collapsed, flooding the pontoon and the nightclub.
“The bridge started to crack, the raft started to sink, and everyone who ran from the raft fell into the water. They didn’t know that the bridge was falling, then they fell into the water. They saved each other.” the eyewitness told the publication.
An eyewitness to the incident told the publication that the party was supposed to continue, but security guards started pushing people out onto the street. Suddenly the mass of people moved.
“I was so scared, my friends were there! Some of them didn’t answer the phone, so I got worried. I didn’t see them in the crowd. There were about a hundred people in the water,” the source said.
The report states that there were approximately a hundred people in the water. Then the police and ambulance arrived.
The reason why the business was flooded has not yet been disclosed. This was probably due to the large number of people the pontoon was not designed to accommodate.
Let us also remind you that the sinking cruise ship has become a tourist attraction. In 2020, the ship encountered a reef while sailing. An emergency call was made and all passengers were brought safely to shore. The ship’s captain brought the ship into Roderick Bay and ran it aground to prevent it from sinking due to the ship’s heavy listing.
