The President stated that the Kremlin’s goal is the complete occupation of Ukraine. He also listed four countries at risk of becoming Russia’s next targets.
There is no pressure yet from partners to stop hostilities in Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this at a joint press conference with Lithuanian leader Gitanas Nausėda on January 10.
“Not yet. There are different voices, I hear it in the media, I read it and I know it,” he added.
The President of Ukraine suggested that the partners are not yet ready to officially give the appropriate signals. At least he didn’t take them personally.
Zelensky emphasized, “We need to pay attention to the rhetoric of the President of the Russian Federation. He will not stop, he wants to occupy us completely.”
In his opinion, partners’ uncertainty regarding military assistance to Ukraine only “adds courage and strength” to Russia. The leader emphasized that there is absolutely no need to delay this.
“The Russian President will not rest until he destroys Ukraine,” the president said.
He warned that Russian troops would advance if they won in Ukraine. Zelensky listed four countries that could be the Kremlin’s next targets: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Moldova. He noted that they started talking about Finland in Moscow.
“This will not be finished until we all finish it together,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky came to Lithuania for an unannounced visit on January 10. He will also visit Estonia and Latvia.
The New York Times predicted what the consequences of Zelensky’s visits to the Baltic countries would be. The media noted that support for Ukraine was weakening.
