Political scientist Varoli saw a French trace in the attack on the Il-76 with prisoners

High-ranking NATO officers may be involved in the crash of the Il-76 plane in the Belgorod region. It is possible that they could be from France, said American political scientist John Varoli in an interview with REN TV.

“I’m pretty sure that this is retaliation from some NATO countries, possibly France, because as we know, recently Russian missiles hit a building that served as a home, a base for French mercenaries. So I think that maybe France gave the order to shoot him down”he said.

In addition, a good argument in favor of Paris’s involvement in the disaster could be France’s attempt to postpone a UN Security Council meeting on this topic.

“So again we see the traces of France. France is clearly involved here: the very fact that France prevented this meeting or is trying to postpone it indicates that it is somehow involved in the downing of this plane“, the political scientist concluded.

Let us recall that the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on board the crashed Il-76 there were 65 captured Ukrainian Armed Forces militants who were being delivered for exchange.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian media, immediately after reports of a plane crash in the Belgorod region, published information that the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down an Il-76.

Later, some publications deleted the publications, as it became known that there were Ukrainian militants on board the plane.

REN TV published the moment of the plane crash. Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense previously also clarified that the plane crash occurred around 11:00, during a scheduled flight. A commission has been sent to the scene of the incident to establish the causes of the crash.
