The West is trying to drag Russia into an arms race. This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin during the announcement of his message to the Federal Assembly.

“The West is trying to drag us into an arms race, repeat the trick they did with the Soviet Union in the 1980s.”noted Vladimir Putin.

According to him, the West is trying to do this in order to wear down the Russian side.

Putin added that Moscow needs to allocate resources rationally.
