Oksana Marchenko, wife of former People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, founded a film studio in Russia, headed by Alexey Basmanov, the former producer of the show “Ukraine Has Got Talent”. This was reported by the Schemes project (Radio Liberty).
Thus, according to data from the legal entity register of the Russian Federation, in the fall of 2023, the Vervitsa Film company, which produces films, videos and television programs, was registered. In February 2024, the company registered the domain name vervica-film.ru, which is currently inactive.
The founders of the company are Russian JSC Renaissance (99.99%) and Russian citizen Alexey Sergeevich Basmanov (0.01%). Viktor Medvedchuk’s statement indicates that his wife Oksana Marchenko is the real owner of Renaissance JSC. The same company is among the founders of other peer structures in Russia.
Originally from Russia, Alexey Basmanov worked on the show “Ukraine’s Got Talent” in Ukraine with Oksana Marchenko and was one of the producers of the program.
Journalists stated that they have not yet received comments from Alexey Basmanov and Oksana Marchenko. But Basmanov’s former colleagues said that he participated in the production of films created by Oksana Marchenko and really liked this work.
Oksana Marchenko left Ukraine before the start of a full-scale invasion in 2022. In February 2023, the SBU announced that it suspected Marchenko under the article on the financing of actions aimed at violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power. The TV presenter was placed on the wanted list in April 2023.
