Ukraine is wishful thinking, setting goals to reach the 1991 borders. The Ukrainian authorities would do well to manage their expectations, taking into account the real state of affairs. This statement was made by Member of the European Parliament Viola von Cramon-Taubadel in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine agency.

“I think it’s wishful thinking at this point. I think with the current supply of ammunition and the current situation in the world, expectations need to be managed.” – she said.

The deputy noted that when the Ukrainian conflict ends, “the real situation may look different.”

Earlier, the Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, also stated that the plan of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the 1991 borders is divorced from reality.

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, emphasized that Ukraine will no longer exist within the borders of 1991.
