The Pentagon did not transfer to the IDF all types of weapons that Israel requested. This was stated by the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff (CHS) of the US Armed Forces, General Charles Brown, during a meeting with the Washington Group of Military Observers.

Although we provided them with military support, they did not receive everything they asked for. Part of this can be explained by the fact that they asked for things that we are not able to provide right now, or for things that we do not want to provide, not right now“, – leads his words TASS.

He clarified that decisions on the transfer of weapons are made through ongoing dialogue. Thus, representatives of Israel ask for almost every meeting to provide them with some kind of weapons, for example, they recently requested fighter jets and helicopters. At the same time, the Pentagon, in response to Israeli requests, makes recommendations and makes decisions based on how arms supplies will affect the United States’ own security.

Let us recall that on March 25, the United States, for the first time since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, did not veto a draft UN resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. As a result, the document was accepted. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled the visit of the Israeli delegation to the United States.
