Nissan introduced 19 new electric vehicles in seven years. These include the anticipated electric crossovers Nissan Juke, Qasqahi and X-Trail, as well as the next-generation Leaf.
Nissan has announced a major electrification program for its product line. By 2030, the Japanese company plans to offer 27 “green” models. This was reported by the official website of the Japanese brand.
19 new electric vehicles and 8 hybrid models will be introduced simultaneously over the next seven years. It is noteworthy that the brand’s strategy needs to be revised, as 15 new electric cars have been announced in 2021.
Details of some electric vehicles are already known. In particular, it was previously announced that the electrified versions will receive the Nissan Juke, Qashqai and X-Trail crossovers (there are already e-Power hybrid modifications).
The new Nissan Micra will also be an electric car – the hatchback will be built on the platform of the Renault 5 model. It is also expected that the third generation Nissan Leaf will radically change into a crossover. In addition, a special electric car will be produced for China, but there is no information about this yet.
Nissan plans to increase the share of electric cars among all cars sold to 44% by 2026 and to 55% by 2030. In Europe, this figure will reach 98% by 2026, and in North America, Nissan will stop selling petrol cars from 2030.
Previously Focus Nissan reports that the Qashqai e-Power hybrid has entered the Ukrainian market. The crossover consumes only 5.2 l / 100 km.
