Tesla launches the first Cybertruck (photo, video)

American electric vehicle company Tesla said it’s building the “first Cybertruck” at its Gigafactory in Texas. In this respect reported on the Twitter page.

The company said production will begin “this summer” and the vehicles will be delivered to the first customers “at the end of the third quarter”, that is, in late September 2023.

Experts say producing the cyber truck ahead of schedule will allow Tesla to get ahead of schedule given to suppliers earlier this year. But they hope that only then industrial production will begin. When it comes to specs and pricing, Tesla hasn’t updated them since the prototype was launched in 2019. Tesla promised to release the first car by the end of 2021, but deadlines have been constantly delayed, and Musk himself has spoken about the lack of components. He said at the May shareholders meeting that Tesla wants to produce a quarter of a million Cybertrucks per year based on demand.

The first Cybertruck, built in Giga Texas, is believed to represent the production model Tesla used to create the most efficient production method on an industrial scale.

The Cybertruck is also expected to have an approach angle of 35 degrees, a departure angle of 28 degrees and a ground clearance of up to 16 inches. Like other Tesla vehicles, the Cybertruck is expected to show impressive acceleration: the top-of-the-line pickup was initially announced to have a 0-100 km/h sprint of 2.9 seconds.

Earlier this year, Elon Musk stated that mass production will begin in 2024 and limited production will begin in the summer of 2023.
