Despite the traditions of Maslenitsa, it is better not to abuse pancakes during the holiday – overeating a “heavy dish” threatens with negative consequences for the body. According to the general practitioner, endocrinologist Elena Kiseleva, it is worth eating no more than 100 g of pancakes at a time – one large or 4-5 small ones.

She said “Izvestia“that overeating pancakes is a particular danger for people with gastrointestinal diseases, including gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as gastritis and esophagitis.

“From the point of view of strict adherence to the principles of proper nutrition, the best pancake is an uneaten pancake”, – Kiseleva explained, but added that if a number of rules are observed, the damage can be minimized. In particular, before eating holiday pancakes, you should not arrange fasting days or switch to diets. And a couple of hours before the feast, you can eat a couple of tablespoons of bran – for example, with kefir.

Kiseleva noted that this will help muffle the feeling of hunger and create an obstacle to the absorption of light carbohydrates.

The doctor also reminded about useful fillings for pancakes. Among them, you should pay attention to low-fat cottage cheese and cheese, as well as slightly salted fish.

Previously REN TV told why pancakes became the symbol of a “delicious” holiday.
