IPN and IMSS boost clinical research

During the closing of the 8th Clinical Research Meeting, IPN CEO, Arturo Reyes Sandovalaccompanied by a medical research coordinator IMSS, Laura Bonifas Alfonsoexpressed his approval of the physicians who have joined this discipline.

He explained that the Polytechnic Institute has chosen postgraduate studies in hospitals as part of the Master’s program in Health Sciences, which aims to train high-level academic and scientific human capital, which guarantees the execution of research projects and the creation of new knowledge.

He highlighted the work Clinical Research Training Center (CAIC) IMSS that with the support IPN and various universities, prepares medical personnel with diplomas, master’s and doctoral degrees of high quality and relevance.

He reported that eleven years after the establishment of this center, Colima has full coverage of specialist doctors; Nayarit is approaching 98% and Tlaxcala is approaching 91%, adding 101 alumni who are changing the way healthcare is understood, going beyond consultation and transforming the patient environment for the benefit of themselves and their families.

At the closing event, the leader Medical Research Coordination (CIS) from IMSS Laura Cecilia Bonifaz Alfonso shared her experience as a scientist and invited doctors to conduct research; acknowledged that the figure of the clinical researcher in IMSS in recent years has increased rapidly, the growth that is driven by this type of meetings.

Finally, the director of the Fund IMSS, Ana Lia de Fatima Garcia Garcia congratulated the participants. “I am convinced that education is an investment in all of our employees,” she concluded.
