Kadyrov called on the head of the UFC to give the belt to Ankalaev and admit a mistake

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called on UFC head Dana White to give the belt to Magomed Ankalaev after the fight with Pole Jan Blakhovitch. The head of the Chechen Republic also demanded to apologize for the unfair decision.

“Admit the mistake, give the belt to the real winner and apologize for this performance”– Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, the head of Chechnya writes that White used to be a “normal, principled man”, but took the belt out of the ring without handing it to the clear winner.

“Or has politics entered the UFC ring and requires you to referee dirty? It’s a sport, Dana. Be honest.”– added Ramzan Kadyrov.

Recall that the 30-year-old Russian and the 39-year-old Pole spent all five rounds of the fight on canvas, which ended in a draw – according to the results of the fight, three judges did not reveal the winner. The opinions of the three referees were divided. One of them gave the victory to Ankalaev with a score of 48:46, the other – to Blachowicz (48:47), the third recorded a draw (47:47). This left the UFC light heavyweight title vacant.

Magomed Ankalaev himself believes that he defeated a fighter from Poland in battle. He also considers it unfair that he was not awarded the title of UFC light heavyweight champion.

Interestingly, Blachowicz also admitted the unfair result of the battle. The pole believes that his opponent should have received the UFC title.

Magomed Ankalaev has 18 wins, one loss and one draw in his professional MMA career. Jan Blachowicz, who lost the title belt in October last year against Glover Teixeira of Brazil, has 29 wins, nine losses and one draw.
