- 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) salt
- 1 egg yolk;
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of milk
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle of approximately 30cm x 40cm. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and cut off the edges 2 centimeters from the edges. This will help create a beautiful border.
Peel and core the apples and cut them into thin slices. Put the apples in a large bowl and sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice. Stir until the apples are evenly coated with sugar. Spread the apple filling on the dough, leaving the edges free. Try to distribute the apples evenly and do not make the layer too thick.
Mix ground almonds, butter, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the resulting mixture over the apples for a crispy look. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolk and milk with a fork or whisk. Brush the edges of the dough with this mixture.
