The Ministry of Defense spoke about new examples of the heroism of the Russian military

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation spoke about the new exploits of the Russian military, which they performed during a special operation to protect Donbass.

So, Major Denis Chernyakov together with the unit took control of a strategically important object during fierce battles. The enemy attempted an offensive, opening artillery and mortar fire on the position of the paratroopers.

Chernyakov, along with another officer, discovered a group of Ukrainian militants during a sortie. A surprise attack made it possible to destroy the nationalists and seize a captured car. With his help, the major and his comrade brought food and ammunition, which were dropped by army aviation, and evacuated the victims.

A few days later, while moving deep into the enemy defenses, Chernyakov corrected artillery fire when he came under fire. Some of the servicemen were injured, and the major gave them first aid and evacuated them from the fire. He himself was also wounded, but continued to adjust the fire.

“Thanks to the courage and courage of Denis Chernyakov, a number of enemy military facilities were destroyed by artillery fire, which forced the enemy to retreat,” reported to the Ministry of Defense.

Lieutenant Ivan Meshcheryakov together with the unit, he held one of the key settlements when the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to dislodge the Russian troops from the occupied lines. The enemy attacked the positions with infantry and an armored group of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. Meshcheryakov ordered the use of a drone to correct fire and withdrew the tanks to attack the nationalists from indirect firing positions.

The defense ministry emphasized that during the battle, Meshcheryakov’s unit “timely and accurately issued target designations on the location and movement of enemy equipment and manpower to a higher command post,” after which Russian artillery struck. Three tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles of Ukrainian militants were destroyed.

The infantry of the nationalists, without the support of armored vehicles, retreated and tried to gain a foothold in the forest belt, where they were eliminated.

“Thanks to the timely and competent actions of Lieutenant Ivan Meshcheryakov and his subordinates, it was possible to inflict a serious defeat on the enemy, prevent a breakthrough of our defense line and save the life and health of subordinate personnel,” – said the Ministry of Defense.

Private Alexas Rudzinskas engaged in the delivery of material and technical equipment to Russian units, making flights to areas near the line of contact. In one of these raids, the enemy attacked vehicles, which included a private, hitting with artillery and mortars.

The skillful maneuver of Rudzinkas made it possible to bring the car with ammunition out of the fire to a safe place and prevent the ammunition from being detonated.

“During his participation in the special military operation, Alexas Rudzinkas made more than twenty flights, delivering more than a hundred tons of various cargo to the positions,” – clarified in the defense department.

Russian special operation to protect Donbass

Recall, on February 17, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced an aggravation of the situation. The republics announced the evacuation of civilians.

On February 21, the leaders of the Donbass republics turned to Russian leader Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the independence of the DNR and LNR. The head of state held a meeting of the Security Council, after which he announced the recognition of the republics. Friendship and cooperation agreements were also signed with the independent Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The State Duma and the Federation Council ratified these agreements.

On February 23, the heads of the DPR and LPR appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help repel Ukraine’s aggression in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and civilian casualties.

On February 24, the Russian leader addressed the nation and announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the entry of these regions into the Russian Federation.
