They hit at 500 km: Germany offers to transfer Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine, – media

According to the Chairman of the CDU Roderich Kizewetter, Germany itself has several such missiles, but it would be more logical to use them against the Russian invaders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Germany should hand over long-range Taurus missiles with a range of 400-500 kilometers to Ukraine. This was expressed by the German CDU representative and retired colonel Roderich Kizevetter, writes RND.

“Ukraine’s partners must now remain penniless and provide Ukraine with everything that it can use in a united armed struggle and is permitted under international law,” the politician said.

He is sure that there should no longer be so-called “red lines”. So Ukraine should buy all the weapons used by NATO.

Kizevetter said that Germany itself has several such missiles, but it would make more sense to use them against the Russian invaders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He noted that Berlin had ordered about 600 Taurus missiles, but only 150 were operational.

As Fabian Hoffmann, a missile expert at the University of Oslo, told reporters, the Russian Federation does not have the means to intercept the Storm Shadows cruise missiles that Ukraine received from Germany. True, Ukraine needs most of these missiles to turn the tide of the war.

He said Ukraine needed a large missile alliance to gain an advantage over the Russians on the battlefield. The expert believes that Taurus missiles can be integrated for use by Soviet fighters. Such missiles can be brought into combat in a month or two.

“We’ve seen how important long-range precision weapons are in modern warfare. This is something Ukraine cannot do without in the medium term,” said Hoffmann.

What are bull missiles

An air-to-ground cruise missile designed for high-precision strikes and the destruction of highly protected and buried targets. It is a competitor to the Storm Shadow cruise missile jointly developed by the British and French.

Recall that the expert spoke about the projected growth of the “minus” flights of the RF Armed Forces. According to military expert Roman Svitan, enemy aircraft will crash into Ukraine’s increasingly concentrated air defense system.

Also, the United States pointed to the “pitfalls” of the transfer of the F-16 to Ukraine. US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall told reporters that it will take several more months for the Pentagon to make the final decision on the transfer of fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and begin their shipment to Ukraine.
