“There is a signal”: Zelensky confirms that a new uprising is being prepared in Russia

The military uprising of Yevgeny Prigozhin was not the last, and now a new uprising is being prepared in Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned this in an interview with ABC media on July 9.

“There is a signal that there may be another uprising, a revolution in Russia. Moreover, there are many people who can support such an uprising,” said the Ukrainian President.

Zelensky said that the uprising of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the creator of the mercenary group, also revealed the weakness of the Putin regime. Although “Putin’s cook” claims that the march to Moscow was aimed not at an attempt to carry out a coup, but to protect his fighters from “injustice”.

The Ukrainian leader expressed the opinion that Prigozhin actually stood a few kilometers from Moscow and did not begin to capture the Russian capital.

“They (Wagnerians – ed.) decided to stop themselves. Putin has no military force inside Russia and the civilian population is not protected,” Zelensky told a journalist.

Recall that in early July, ISW analysts reported that Moscow was preparing for another rebellion and city wars. According to experts, the police of the Moscow region were to train for possible conflicts in the capital. However, not all security guards want to participate in it.

As previously reported, on July 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during the armed rebellion of Wagner PMC head Yevgeny Prigozhin, half Russians supported mercenaries and the other half supported Russian President Vladimir Putin.
