Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine massively surrender to the Russian army via radio communication

In many sectors of the front, Russian troops are switching from active defense to their own counteroffensive. And this has already led to the fact that more and more fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrender. And especially for those who want to save their lives, the Russian military has allocated a separate communication channel. This is a special radio frequency, by which those wishing to lay down their arms and go over to the Russian side receive detailed instructions on how to do this.

“Captured – no damage”

The prisoners are sad, but do not look exhausted. No signs of beatings or mistreatment. They tell how they gave up.

“We had a brother named Malay, and he read an article on the social network “How to surrender without any suffering.” We laughed and said that no one would surrender,” – recalls the Ukrainian fighter.

But what seemed funny before the fight ceased to amuse after. When the soldier who read the article died, his friends took his phone and found out that he could be asked to surrender over the radio station.

“We got in touch. We were read instructions on how to get captured without damage. Callsign Volga”, – said the prisoner of war.

This very call sign and the frequency 149 200 are now widely known among the Ukrainian military. A technology has been developed by which anyone who does not want to fight can withdraw from the battle to the Russian side.

“You pick up a white rag, after you pick up a white rag, we don’t touch you. We destroy all suitable units, we give you a green corridor”, – explained the Russian military with the call sign Neman.

The very idea to allocate a frequency for surrender came to the military from volunteer bloggers who help the army. And at first they did not believe in this idea. The algorithm that was supposed to be used in battle seemed too complicated. The expectation is that the signalman of the infantry unit, controlling the airwaves in the area entrusted to him, will hear the call for help and report it to his commander, after which a humanitarian corridor will be organized.

But it turned out that the enemies did not have enough military digital communications for everyone. When it becomes completely unbearable on the front line, they use whatever they can. And they speak very frankly.

“If you want the boys to stand here, let’s get reinforcements, people, because there is no one to stand on the line. Let the people go to other positions where there is a dugout, and take up defense there,” – said the fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian signalers have entire collections of panicked Ukrainian military talks. How they ask for help from their commanders and how they refuse them. After a series of such conversations, attempts to contact not at all with the rear begin. And every day there are more and more such sessions of life-saving radio communications.

“The captured radio station was removed from a dead enemy. You can see how it differs from ours. First of all, elements of handicraft tuning are visible here”, – said the correspondent “Izvestia”.

The antenna allows you to speak for three dozen kilometers. Enough to send word across the front lines. But, unfortunately, the owner of the radio did not take advantage of this opportunity.
