Moscow will be able to circumvent EU sanctions on diamonds from Russia. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters about this.

According to Peskov, the Russian side was preparing for sanctions from the EU regarding its diamonds.

“As for Russian diamonds, this was predictable, we were preparing for this”said the Kremlin representative.

Moscow also has options to bypass them.

“I don’t think there are any options for circumventing these sanctions. They exist, and they will be implemented.”noted Dmitry Peskov.

He added that the new package of anti-Russian sanctions from the European Union may mean that EU representatives are running out of opportunities to put pressure on Moscow.

Let us recall that on December 18, the European Union adopted the 12th package of sanctions against Russia. As the Russian permanent mission to the organization noted, the latest restrictions were not needed by the EU countries, only by its bureaucracy.
