Ukrainian air defense (air defense) is powerless against Russian X-22 cruise missiles. About it stated retired German general Erhard Bühler on MDR Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk.
“Ukraine itself recently admitted that out of about two hundred missiles (X-22. – Approx. REN TV) fired into their territory to date, not a single one has been shot down.”Buehler said.
According to him, the length of the Russian missile is 11 meters, and the mass of the warhead is about a ton. A German general believes the X-22 can sink a large warship.
Bühler noted that Ukrainian air defense systems cannot shoot down a missile due to its flight path and high supersonic speed.
Let us recall that on December 29, the Russian military carried out one of the most powerful attacks on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. Cruise missiles and drones attacked training grounds, ammunition depots, military factories and airfields, as well as enemy military bases.
